BCAA offers a wide range of events and activities throughout the year. Attend our events; either catch up with old friends, meet new ones, or simply network with fellow alumni and the business community. From monthly networking events to annual golf tournaments, and fundraisers, we offer a variety of events for you and your family - or anything else that sounds fun for Cougars.

Monthly Networking Breakfasts

Join us on the third Thursday of the month at the Houston City Club beginning at 7 a.m. for networking and enriching presentations from leaders in the real world of business.
The Bauer Alumni Association has held inspiring monthly networking breakfasts for the past years, drawing large numbers of alumni, corporate partners and supporters.
The tradition is set to continue as the organization plans to host some of Houston’s most engaging business leaders as speakers in August, September, October and November. Networking and breakfast begin at 7 a.m. with scheduled adjournment at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $30 ($25 for UHAA members) and is open to the public. Reservations close two days prior to the event.
Past BCAA breakfast speakers include Houston Texans President Jamey Rootes, US Oncology President and CEO Bruce Broussard (MBA ’89) and Houston Dynamo President and General Manager Oliver Luck.

Distinguished Leaders Series

Sponsored by Sequent Energy Management, the Distinguished Leaders Series was launched in 2002 with Charles T. “Ted” Bauer, founder and retired chairman of AIM Management Group. The series serves as a forum to connect students and alumni with professionals, most recently with those who are in leadership positions in the energy industry.

Cougar Power Hour

Come out and join us for on for cocktails, food, and fun at the Cougar Power Hour! Monthly alumni mixer happening on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Baker Street Pub @ Rice Village.
This is a great opportunity to network and reunite with former classmates. If you haven’t made it to one of our Power Hours, bring business cards and be prepared for an entertaining evening of mix and mingle.
Show your COUGAR PRIDE, wear something RED, and bring a COUGAR FRIEND! This event is open to Alumni and friends, and is FREE to attend. We’ll have door prizes and drink specials.

Tailgates Events

Bauer College Alumni Association is firing up the grills again this year! During each home game of the football season, BCAA hosts a tailgate party for alumni and friends at the Bauer Pavilion.
Join us for Alumni Tailgates sponsored by area restaurants this fall. Enjoy a variety of great food, beverages, door prizes and music. Tailgates starts two-and-a-half hours prior to kickoff and are located at the Alumni Pavilions – Look for our banner.

Ted Bauer Golf Classic

Benefiting the Bauer Champions Scholarship Campaign at the University of Houston C. T. Bauer College of Business.
Since 2001, the Ted Bauer Golf Classic has provided students at the Bauer College of Business with the opportunity to pursue academic achievement at the collegiate level, by providing them with much needed scholarship funds. This important funding is made possible through the generous donations of Bauer Alumni, friends of the University, and community leaders like you.

Annual Meeting

Alumni and supporters of the C. T. Bauer College of Business gather in Houston each year for the Annual Alumni Meeting, the Bauer College Alumni Association’s end-of-year signature event.
In recent years, the event has brought more than 300 alumni back to the college to reconnect and hear from its leaders on the latest successes from students, faculty and programs.

Online Auction

Created by the Bauer College Alumni Association in 2008, the Online Auction has given $20,000 in scholarships to students at the University of Houston over the last three years.
Some of the Items to be auctioned are week long and weekend stays at vacation homes, artwork, rounds of golf, fishing trips, hunting trips, an Astros Suite and dinner with local celebrities.
The Champion’s Online Auction items will be auctioned off in an EBay style format, and the number of packages continually grows as donors continue to furnish extraordinary products and services for the Online Auction.
