How We Rank
Marketing: The Chronicle of Higher Education recently ranked Bauer #9 among leading research universities for faculty scholarly productivity in marketing, and Bauer doctoral students have won the Howard Award for the best dissertation in the field of marketing twice in the past decade.
Selling: Bauer is #1 for Selling. Bauer's Program for Excellence in Selling has the deepest curriculum, largest enrollment and highest corporate support of any university program in selling and sales management, and our Sales Excellence Institute is a hub for sales research and education.
Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneur magazine and The Princeton Review rank Bauer's undergraduate Entrepreneurship program #1 in the nation, and Bauer students have won more awards than any other school in national undergraduate business plan competitions in recent years.

Congratulations to Marketing student Kyley Pitts and Entrepreneurship student John Nicklos on winning UH Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships.
Congratulations to doctoral alum Raj Echambadi on being named 2012 Outstanding Professor in the Executive MBA Program and 2012 Outstanding Professor in the Professional MBA program at the University of Illinois.
Congratulations to Entrepreneurship students Justin Farley, Randy Hannemann, Louis McEneny, Tattiana Reznick and Adam Trojanowski on winning awards in three national business plan competitions: 1st place at the 25th Annual Nebraska Innovation Competition hosted by the University of Nebraska, 1st at the Richards Barrentine Values and Ventures competition hosted by TCU, and 2nd at the California Dreamin' "super-competition" hosted by Chapman University. The team won prize money totalling $44,000. This makes 19 awards in the past 11 years for teams representing our Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship.
Congratulations to Program for Excellence in Selling students Grace Moceri and Sonya Brooks for winning first place at the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC). Grace placed first and Sonya second in the individual competition, guaranteeing the team win for PES. This is second year in a row our PES team placed first, and the 10th time in 12 years that our PES team placed in the top 10 at NCSC.
Congratulations to MBA students Raj Baskaran, Trey Bhutta, Iryna McKenzie and Kim Phan for winning first place, and to MBA students Irene Hsu, Sarah Jachimiec, Abel Noah and Wes Swift for winning second place in Rice University's marketing case competition.
Congratulations to Prof. Steve Brown on being named as an Associate Editor for Journal of Marketing.
