We’re reaching out to Houston and the surrounding communities, and in turn, they are increasingly reaching in to become more involved with our students, faculty and programs. Partnerships with recognized non-profit organizations and service groups allow our students to apply their leadership skills in the real world while improving the lives of members of the community. We’re doing our part, too, by staying connected with future generations of business students by partnering with local high schools to pair our students and faculty with youth, preparing them for leadership roles in higher education and beyond.
Undergraduate students pursuing majors or minors in business have a wealth of leadership development opportunities, from curriculum focused on the strategies needed to succeed in the corporate world to student organizations and events designed to bring real world leaders into the classroom.
In today´s complex and changing environment, organizations are looking to hire and promote employees who understand and can apply effective leadership skills. Our graduate programs incorporate leadership into curriculum through related course offerings and interaction with corporate CEOs and executives.
Effective leadership is more important now than ever. Our faculty and doctoral students are on the cutting edge of both qualitative and quantitative research about innovations in leadership, management and related issues.
